Phased rollout of services is supported through the flexibility and scalability provided by a software design radio architecture and forward thinking processing capabilities. Because the PureWave base station is WiMAX Mobile compliant (planned), it can operate with any Wave 2 compliant access device.
TECHNOLOGY
PureWave Networks combines key technologies to provide cost-competitive, advanced WiMAX solutions. The base station has a state of the art architecture that provides scalability and flexibility. The physical layer is WiMAX Wave-2 compliant, but employs advanced multi-antenna concepts that greatly improve performance. The medium access control layer is also WiMAX compliant, but has advanced scheduling concepts and network layer integration that make large network throughputs a reality.
